If you’ve ever been to San Francisco you know that summer months often require a jacket…and sometimes even a winter coat. The sun doesn’t tend to come out until at least September and even then it only lasts for about a week (alright maybe two). Lately, however, it’s been downright sunny –IN JUNE! I’d been waiting for an opportunity to wear my floral lightweight pants since I bought them back in April. This seemed as good a time as any to toss them on, grab sandwiches at the local deli, and take a walk in the park.
Stow Lake has been a part of my life since I can remember. My mom often tells me stories of my running off after the ducks and learning my times tables as we walked around it for hours. There’s plenty to see in Golden Gate Park (the Tea Garden, Conservatory of Flowers, and the De Young), but Stow Lake will always be just a little bit more special to me.
