After deliberating on paint colors, artwork, lighting, window treatments, and new furniture. I’ve finally managed to get my living room back to a “livable” state. I had been wanting to move on over to the dark side for a little while, though settling on a paint color certainly was the most time-consuming task. I bought seven paint samples, and even after deciding on a color and painting the entire room, I changed my mind and repainted. Painting took a couple of weeks. Half because I was indecisive, and half because I painted the room in stages (notice the furniture curtained off in the far nook).
Once I had fresh paint on the walls, it was pretty easy to put together a concept for the rest of the room. Here’s what I envisioned….
And here’s the final result!
It’s a welcomed changed to the all grey everything I had in place previously. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Next steps are to create a gallery wall above the desk, and perhaps add a window seat that can double as a bookshelf. I’ll keep you guys posted as the space continues to evolve.
